One hot summer, young Tomá? Sinek plans to take off to England to «pick strawberries». It seems that his family – father, mother and grandmother – has no other worries than packing their descendant off on the trip, even if not everyone is happy about it. But the situation is not that simple. We are in his grandmother’s tears. Tomá? rushes to the train station but Prague’s streets are empty and the trains have stopped running. Tomá? doesn’t deem the situation serious, so a day’s delay doesn’t bother him too much. But this August morning was one that radically changed the lives of thousands. It is August 21, 1968, and in a few moments the lives of Tomá?, his family and friends will be derailed, too.

It is May of 1988 in Toronto. The school year is coming to a close. The Victoria Day long weekend heralds the beginning of summer. In Boston, Wayne Gretzky’s dynastic Edmonton Oilers are playing in the Stanley Cup Finals. Best of all, Bob Dylan is coming to town. Ben Spektor, 16, attends the concert with his two closest friends, Sammy and Noah. Though the year is 1988, they exist as if in a time warp, idolizing the music and culture of the 1960s. Outside the concert, Ben sees what looks like a routine exchange: two teenagers buying drugs. In a way he could never have predicted, the consequences of this drug deal will alter the course of his summer and, quite possibly, the rest of his life. This one event, barely significant at the time, initiates Ben into love, as well as death, and forces him to confront his conscience, his friends, and his family.

Based on the novel by Tolstoy with music by Beethoven. Edgar Hudson is the man who has everything; vast wealth, a gorgeous wife and two beautiful children. His wife Abbey was a talented pianist but has given up playing to raise the children. She is obviously unhappy about it, trying to cheer he up Edgar introduces his pianist wife Abby to a talented young violinist, Aiden, suggesting they play together at a charity benefit he’s given. Abby and Aiden decide to play Beethoven’s ‘Kreutzer’ Sonata. Edgar becomes convinced they are having an affair – his only evidence, the music they play together. Edgar is driven into a terrifying state of morbid jealousy where his uncontrollable rage can only lead to tragedy.

In 1992, after 17 years of immigration to the U.S., astrophysicist Sasha Greenberg returns for the first time to his native Moscow, to speak at an International Congress on Cosmology. He reunites with old friends, recalls important moments of his life, reevaluates his past and attempts to find the answers to questions which torment him. Sasha is successful in finding out how the Universe works, but finds himself incapable of understanding the problems of his own personal life and of our civilization. He undergoes a deep crisis. In Sasha’s view all humanity is collapsing. Perestroika is a worldwide necessity. Moscow, swept by perestroika, is the metaphorical background of the story – a reflection of the protagonist’s inner life.

She speaks of the time when she was in love with two men – one adored her, and the second cheated on her and hurt her. But she loved both of them. Everything changed the tragic night when one of her lovers was found murdered…

One morning Galia and her boyfriend, Oren, board a local Jerusalem bus packed with passengers, among them a suicide bomber. The bus explodes, leaving Galia with severe burns and memory loss; she lacks memory of the day of the terrorist attack and the days leading up to it. Oren is knocked into a coma. The film begins one year after the attack, upon Oren’s death. As Galia undergoes physical and mental therapy, she attempts to stitch together the shattered fragments of her life and soul. A necklace sent to her from an unidentified source sets her off on a journey to find the missing pieces of the puzzle from that horrific day…
