Please, fill the accreditation form in press-centre part on the web-site, and send it by e-mail pressa@artefact.ru with the mark "30th MIFF Accreditation".

We'll announce additionally about the date and place of getting the accreditation card.

Dear journalists,

30 June, on the second floor of the «October» cinema will take place the official closing ceremony for the press.

The ceremony held in the «Pushkinsky» will be broadcast live at 18:00, the banquet will also take place there.

You may attend this event using your press accreditation.

Let me introduce the MIFF Day 1 Agenda: June 21.

The participating films press demonstrations start at 10.00 hours in Oktyabr Cinema Theater with "Promise me this" (Zavet) directed by Emir Kusturica (Hall 1).

12.30 The press conference by Emir Kusturica (Hall 6)

14.00 The "Angel" directed by Francois Ozon press demonstration as part of the Gala screenings program

16.30 The "Je Crois Que Je L'Aime" directed by Pierre Jolivet press demonstration as part of the Cinema World program.

19.00 The MIFF Opening Ceremony in Pushkinsky Cinema Hall (please note: the accreditation card for the event is different)

20.00 The "Second Half" (Andre Omgang) directed by Hilde Heier press demonstration as part of the Perspectives Contest program

21.30 The "Bushi no Ichibun" directed by Yoji Yamada press demonstration as part of the Cinema World program

MIFF Press Center opens in the Oktyabr Theater

The issue of the accreditations approved to you started on June 18 (from 10.00 to 18.00 hours) in a special area in the theater at 24 Novyi Arbat.

The MIFF is to run from June 21 to 30 in the Oktyabr Cinema Theater halls.

The Festival Opening Ceremony to be held on June 21 in Pushkinsky Cinema Hall starting at 19.00 hours

The Festival Closing Ceremony to be held on June 30 in Pushkinsky Cinema Hall starting at 19.00 hours

Please note: The Ceremonies will have special types of accreditations (for more information turn to the Press Center staff)!

Those accredited for the Opening Ceremony please take note: the entrance for the press will be opened on 17.00 and closed on 17.45 hours. The ceremony has the strict dress code: classic suits, dresses, black upper part and white lower part if possible. Those reporters that will not dress properly, unfortunately cannot come for the red carpet.

For all the necessary information you can turn to the Press Center staff in the Oktyabr Cinema Theater (24 Novyi Arbat) from 10.00 to 18.00 hours.

The 29th Moscow International Film Festival Accreditation begins!

An accreditation is proper when applied for with an accreditation application form filled in in electronic version with a headshot picture 3х4 jpg (the picture should bear your full name).

If you have the history of previous accreditations with MIFF please provide information about your published features (where and when they were published or broadcast).

Starting from June 15, the accredited journalists’ lists to be published on the Web site daily.

The accreditation application forms should be sent in no later than June 17. Date and location for personal handout of accreditations to be announced separately.

Moscow International film festival: organizers’ press conference

On June 1, at 13.00 hours in RIA Novosti (4 Zubovskiy boulevard, side entrance) the 29th Moscow International Film Festival Press Conference to be held. The conference to be presented by Nikita Mikhalkov, President of MIFF, Alexander Golutva, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Culture and Cinema, Natalia Semina, General Director of MIFF, Kirsi Tykkylainen, MIFF cinema program director, Andrey Plakhov, MIFF Selection Committee Chairman, Petr Shepotinnik, MIFF communications director.

The 29^th -- almost anniversary -- Moscow International Film Festival will run from June 21 to 30, 2007. This year, besides the competition program, MIFF shows retrospection collections by foreign cinematography masters Robert Altman, Emir Custurica, and Milos Forman, as well as the contemporary Italian cinema panorama. There are special retrospections dedicated to the Hollywood musicals’ Golden Age and to the Soviet movies shot in 1991, on the verge of the nation’s collapse. This collection is called ‘Goodbye, USSR’. The press conference participants in RIA-Novosti will cover the issues of the 29^th MIFF agenda, its jury, guests and the competition program.
