Varo Venturi (1956) was born in Rome. After studying Modern Literature, he began to work as photographer. At the same time he wrote poetry, performed music and acted for contemporary theater productions. Then he began to write and produce pop songs and work as producer, composer, musician and singer. In addition, he made several video clips for different artists. In 1997 he began his activity as a filmmaker and his first short film COSMOS HOTEL became multiple award-winner, and was followed by Venturi’s second short DON GIOVANNI. Later Venturi co-wrote with Luisa Maria Fusconi and Ennio De Dominicis the script for L’ITALIANO (2002), directed by De Dominicis, in which Venturi performs one of the leading roles. His feature debut was NAZARENO, independently produced by his new production company Deusfilm.
